ignition Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Booked through HOTWIRE on January 29 and was confirmed at the Wynn for a two-night stay for the nights of Feb 7 & 8.Amenities shown on HOTWIRE listing were:CasinoRestaurantPoolFitnessBusinessGolfTennisSpaPrice Per Night: $114.00x 2 Nights:Tax recovery charges and fees:$26.30Total price: $254.30Though I'm very happy to have gotten the Wynn as it was my first preference, I would have also been okay (though less happy) with Venetian or Palozzo. My fear is that I am now seeing several posters that booked on Hotwire and Priceline reporting being bumped from the Wynn to Trump due to overbooking. I have not received an email from Hotwire indicating that I have been bumped, and a call to the Wynn confirmed they have my reservation logged and they did not indicate it has (yet) been cancelled. Has anyone else booking on Hotline been bumped by the Wynn for Feb 7 or 8? Personally, I'd rather be notified in advance and have a chance to book directly with the hotel of my choice than to find out at check-in and have no option but to move to the Trump. I'm sure the Trump is a 5* property, but it is not as central to the strip, does not have a casino, and is just not the Vegas experience I'm looking for. Thanks in advance!
rsaini Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I would think (no guarantee) that a quick check would be to goto the Wynn site and try to book a room for those dates. If it is available you should be safe. The Valentine's weekend and other dates that users have been walked from returns errors of fully booked at that time period
Long Distance Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I am staying the same dates. I have not received an e-mail from Wynn or Hotwire and I did call the Wynn yesterday to re-confirm.So far it seems to be a "major weekend" (Super Bowl & V-Day) thing.
Joanner Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Could you please let us know if you get bumped?

I've checked the Wynn reservation site multiple times and there seems to be availability. I guess as long as they aren't continuing to sell beyond their capacity in an attempt to replace Hotwire bookings with full price reservations then those of us on non-peak weekends should be safe... *hopefully*
edub70 Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I have this exact same reservation. Let us know if you get a bump notice. I'll do the same.
