s_p05 Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 Hi, I stumbled across this forum and read a bunch of posts in it and everything has been very helpful. I am looking to book a room for 1 night in Windsor (which only has 1 area - I do not want to stay in Detroit) and I was looking for a 3* hotel but would be willing to settle for a 2.5*. I'm planning on booking from Feb 28th to March 1st. What would you recommend to be my starting bid for the 3* and since I can't do the re-bidding because there is only 1 zone by how much should I be increasing my bid. I've read some winning bids and most people have said that they select the 2.5* cuz there is a pretty good chance they will get the Quality Suites but they have also been bumped up to the Holiday Inn select (which is 3*). My problem with that is that the Holiday Inn select is pretty far away from the casino. Any suggestions?? should I risk my luck and go for the 3* knowing that there is probably less chance of getting the Holiday Inn select (because there are a few other 3*s close to the casino ie. Hilton and Radisson) or go for the 2.5* and hopefully get the Quality suites which is also close to the casino in a good location??To sum it all up what should i do to decrease my chances of getting the Holiday Inn select??Sorry, that has a lot of questions in it!! Hopefully you can help :)

It may cost you a few extra dollars vs. PRICELINE, but you may be able to identify the property before your purchase and therefore have an educated guess as to which property it is, and therefore know exactly how far it is from the casino and if it will work for your plans. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
