HenryC Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 Hello! I plan on going to NYC from 2/19 to 2/22 and need help on a bidding strategy. My preference is to stay in the Upper West Side. I already have a backup reservation made at a 2-3 star hotel in this area for 109 a night (excluding taxes) I am looking for a less expensive hotel in the same category in the same area, or worst case would be same price but for a better hotel. I would also try CPS or MTW if it meant better chances of success. Thanks,Henry
thereuare Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! We'll suggest a strategy for whatever you'd like to do, but my first question would be "how familiar with the city are you"? This zone isn't the most convenient for the typical tourist and it goes pretty far towards the North (into the 100's)... do you have a need to be in this particular area OR are you familiar enough with the city to know this area well? What is the back-up hotel? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
