madymo3d Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 I am searching for LV strip hotel Aug 25-29. Came across 4* Hotwire for $115 (was $116 earlier). Based on the amenities, I'm guessing it's Treasure Island. Casino, restaurant, pool, fitness, business center, golf, spa, Customer Favorite.TI web site has rooms for $102 avg/night. If the price guarantee works, that's $13*2 = $26, which brings the price down to $89. Of course there is also a risk it turns out not to be TI...
thereuare Posted August 10, 2004 Report Posted August 10, 2004 Welcome to BetterBidding!Seems to make sense except that NYNY has been identified as having the exact same amenities as Treasure Island, so no way to know for certain if this is TI or not (it's unknown whether NYNY is a Customer Favorite or not).If you're happy with the price for that quality hotel i would say to give it a try and if you get the TI and can make a successful claim just view that as a bonus. I wouldn't necessarily go after this one just for the double the difference guarantee because it's not that much money.Good Luck and let us know whatever you decide to do. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
madymo3d Posted June 15, 2005 Author Report Posted June 15, 2005 We nixed the Hotwire idea and ended up staying at the Venetian by going through Priceline. We needed room for 3 adults and 1 child, Venetian is the only guarantee for a bigger room with pull-out.
