Making a bid to priceline for the first timel. Would like to make a bid so that i can be sure to get the resort i want. The resort is Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort for the month of march 2009.

You can't bid on a specific property, nor is there a way to target a specific hotel, when using PRICELINE.

With HOTWIRE you can often target, or avoid, a specific hotel based upon the amenities and star rating shown, and comparing it to what has previously been reported in our Hotwire Hotel List. However, a quick HOTWIRE search i don't see what has previously been reported to be the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak appearing for your dates.

If you're able to be flexible in your plans in exchange for a discount we can help with a strategy for you to follow, otherwise if you need a specific property, it may be best to book direct or thru a non-opaque source where you know the name of the hotel before your purchase.

Does Priceline take hotels off the list for bidding?

Just an FYI - in the area that you are looking, if bidding for a resort property, you will most likely get the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs, which is a nice property (if not a bit of a maze to get through).

That said, however, I note that you are trying to come in during Spring Training, so all bets are off. If you are looking to book a specific property, then by all means, do not do a "Name Your Own Price" on PRICELINE. If, however, you are willing to get a better deal without knowing the exact property until after purchase, then do the "Name Your Own Price".
