monkeyboy
Tried getting a 4* San Diego (San Diego Coastal), which I have seen go for around $70 - $90. Bid $50,$60,$70,$74,$76,$80,$84,$88,$92.It's not even a weekend. Of course, the Hotels are listing about $250/night in this area. Link to comment

bbbb
I have been bidding for the night of 9/3 every week for a month up to $90 w/o any luck. The rate for Hyatt is only $189 per night.People have got the Hyatt for $49 when the rate was $209 so I don"t know whats going on with this area.I think Hyatt must sell so many rooms and then stop giving rooms to PL. ja214
I think it's the Saturday night stay that got you (unless of course there is an event in town). I had a similar experience trying to get a block of rooms through Saturday w/o luck. Once I dropped Sat night there was no problem with an $84/night bid. Interestingly, I went back to hotwire and priced just the Sat night and it came up only $93. Not sure what hotel you get at that price (might be Sheraton Marina), but it's possible those nights could be booked separately. Dropping that night wasn't a big deal for my trip. Link to comment
