bjhorvat Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Someone might have already covered this.Has anyone else noticed that when using Explorer the rate quotes are cheaper for your stay? I typically use Firefox, and I noticed that if I used Explorer for the same quote and length of stay it was $1-$3 cheaper. Here is what I have been searching.Orlando3/15-3/18Thanks.
thereuare Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 HOTWIRE uses a variable mark-up in order to increase opacity (so that the $42 hotel isn't always HotelA and the $46 hotel isn't always HotelB), which is why you're seeing different rates on each search. This has been discussed on the board before and some have found IE to be cheaper, others FF cheaper.Do you need help with any of the offerings for your stay above? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. bjhorvat Posted January 22, 2009 Author Report Posted January 22, 2009 I see. No, I don't really need help with purchasing. I do find this site very informative, and plan on using your link to purchase. Thank you.
