Are you still seeing this property when searching HOTWIRE for your dates, i'm seeing a different 3* hotel in this zone when searching for your dates. Also, note that when searching you should include the total occupants in the rooms (not occupants per room), so as per the above it appears there are eight people total and you should be searching for 2rooms/4adults/4children (not sure if you are or not)

The second room might not be needed so I redid the search with one room/2 adults/2 kids and got the following:

3* downtown ottawa

$72/night

Amenities: airport shuttle, fitness centre, swimming pool, restaurant, business centre, high-speed internet access

TripAdvisor: 4.0 of 5.0, Based on 100+ customer reviews (Last reviewed December 2008)

Any ideas?

A property at the 3* level with the amenities above has not yet been reported.

However, the Lord Elgin has previously been reported with these amenities but at the 3.5* level. As the Tripadvisor information matches this property, i'm going to speculate that this property has been downgraded to the 3 star level, and that would be my best guess.
