Hi,

We will be in San Francisco between 4/9-4/11 inclusive. Our budget is $50-$80 per night.

I have no idea where is the best place to try to stay for this budget, but am open to suggestions.

I would really appreciate any help you can provide in suggesting a bidding strategy and the best time to start looking.

Cheers

Please post your dates as check-in/check-out, so your 3 nite stay above would be 4/9-4/12.

Most in this area stay in the Union Square East, Union Square West, Embarcadero, or SOMA zones... with touristy Fishermans Wharf being an option as well. However, there are some shady areas, and you may want to consider raising your budget here a bit. Rates dont' appear high for your dates, but i would sooner try for a 4* hotel upwards of $100/nite before seeking out a 3*.

Take a look at the zones and determine which you'd like to bid, as well as if you still want to try for a 3* (or aim higher) along with your maximum bid... we'll then suggest a strategy for you to follow.
