calazn Posted January 18, 2009 Report Posted January 18, 2009 I tried to bid (using the PRICELINE link here) for 2 rooms from 2/17 - 2/19 up to $95 but failed. I do not want to pay more than $100/night since most people have been getting Wynn for $90-95/night. Please help on the strategy.
calazn Posted January 18, 2009 Author Report Posted January 18, 2009 I just won the Wynn for $90/night. Started out at $70 up to $85 and still rejected. Increased $5 and got the Wynn. What a difference a day made. I'm happy with it. :)

calazn Posted January 19, 2009 Author Report Posted January 19, 2009 Could someone please explain how the $20 "tip" at check-in works? Also, does the Wynn have free parking? Anyone with experience in Vegas thinks I need a car to get around like Outlet Mall, Hoover Dam or public/hired transportation is a better option?
thereuare Posted January 19, 2009 Report Posted January 19, 2009 Almost all hotels (especially those with casinos) offer free parking... the only hotel i know of that doesn't is the Trump International (and they don't have a casino)Hoover Dam is a good ways away, and to hire a car yourself i would think would be very expensive. I think the outlet malls is do-able by taxi, but still not inexpensive.Car rentals are fairly cheap in Vegas OR you could probably use a company like THIS ONE to book a tour of Hoover Dam and/or an excursion to the Outlets. You can read more here regarding the $20 Trick Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

Anyone with experience in Vegas thinks I need a car to get around like Outlet Mall, Hoover Dam or public/hired transportation is a better option? In a nutshell, make a "credit card sandwich" . . . place $20 between your ID (driver's license) and credit card to be used for incidentals, hand it to the clerk at check-in, and ask "Are there any complimentary upgrades available?" Sometimes the "upgraded" room will be just on a higher floor, away from the elevator, or a better view, not necessarily a larger room with more bells and whistles. I think in general the shorter the stay, the more likely it is to be effective. Some places are more generous than others, YMMV.thereuare, am I allowed to post links to other sites specifically addressing the "$20 tip" if the poster wants more information?
