Rochester Rich
Residence Inn was as expected though seemed more like an Embassy Suites or a Sterling Suites. Breakfast was mediocre (not cooked to order) but good enough for us and included with the room. Hotel advertises a Wednesday afternoon reception that includes catered food from a seafood restaurant across the street. I think they claim to make the best chowder in 16 states or maybe the world for all I know.I was told the 1 bedroom suites all feature a king size bed in the bedroom and a pullout sofa bed in the living room. Room was equipped with a microwave and stove but no oven. There are some 2 bedroom suites as well. Parking was about $20 / night extra. As for four curlers in two rooms --- the location was perfect at the south edge of Lake Union and the rooms suitable for hanging out watching TV or eating together. I imagine its even better for small families. For those wishing to visit downtown Seattle I like the other downtown hotels better because of their more central location. Link to comment
