etirv Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Still undecided about whether to stay downtown or on the Strip so everyday this week, I've been watching Hotwire 5* Central strip hotel for 3/22 to 3/28, 6 nights -- and from reading this forum, it's the Wynn Hotel and before taxes, it was priced at $119 per room/night. Today however, the same 5* Central strip is listed at $114. I was ready to book but now I wonder if I will still get the Wynn? Thanks!
KenRose Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I have Wynn (95% sure) for those dates for $112 a night. AaronJB Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 While the Wynn is not 100% guaranteed, it is common to see prices vary slightly throughout the day. If you do book this listing, please use the site's HOTWIRE link and let us know how it goes.

trpschick Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I got an email from the Wynn advertising rates at $129.00. So based on that alone I would say it is probably the Wynn that is the *5.Thank you! I waited and today price for same 5* Central strip on Hotwire is back up to $119!
AaronJB Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 While this may be the Wynn, price definitely doesn't necessarily indicate which hotel is showing....
etirv Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 Was watching 5* Hotel in Central Strip on Hotwire for a week, price fluctuated from $119 - $122 (went down to $114 briefly on 1/11/09) so tried my luck on Priceline this week. Really wanted to stay at the Wynn so decided not to wait and the other night, bid $95 for 5* on North Strip. This was rejected. Following Priceline rules, I waited 24 hours and last night increased my bid to $103 and this amount was accepted! Not bad for 6 nights with a Friday as well! Thank you, betterbidding.com!
