Priceline Hotel: Help with D.C. bidding

I've seen several nice Washington D.C. (4-star, downtown) bookings through Priceline lately but haven't been able to get one myself (tried about 20 times in the last week for dates 3/28-4/1) bidding between $100 - $126 using the multi-zone trick. Any ideas on why I'm having no luck? Are these dates just too far out, or is something big going on in D.C. that week?

Thanks.

Welcome to BetterBidding!

It appears that the last nite of your stay is higher priced than the previous nites, and while it may be early, i'm guessing that currently the last nite may be the problem... is SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID an option?

I think you're right -- the last night appears to be much higher priced. Strange though that a Tuesday evening would cause me such trouble. I'll probably keep trying in hopes that the rate for that day eventually goes down. Splitting the bid is a possibility, but sounds like a bit of a head-ache (read: wife would be unhappy). Thanks for your help!
