RedmondFrank Posted January 13, 2009 Report Posted January 13, 2009 $109 "best value" for 4/22 thru 4/28/09breakfastrestaurantbusiness ctrgolftennisno hint via tripadvisor rating. trip advisor only lists four 4* properties... maybe that's based on availability? Thanks!
AaronJB Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Edinburgh; hopefully someone more familiar with the area and/or the site's hotel offerings will chime in.
thereuare Posted January 14, 2009 Report Posted January 14, 2009 This property has not yet been reported to the board, but i would think the following would all at least be possibilities:Macdonald Marine Hotel And Spa Macdonald Holyrood Hotel The Ben Doran Bonham Tigerlily Norton House Hotel and Spa I will add that checking most of the hotels above for your dates at Expedia, rates are just about the same (some a tad lower, some a tad higher) than the $109/nite thru HOTWIRE, so if this offering is one of the above, the savings may not be that worthwhile vs. choosing the hotel. Are you flexible in your needs for this stay... have you considered PRICELINE?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. RedmondFrank Posted January 15, 2009 Author Report Posted January 15, 2009 thanks for the guesses and the insight from Expedia. (now I notice their "30% off nights or more" offer which really does make rates competitive.sometimes I get fixated on Hotwire "best value" and don't do enough homework.not sure about PRICELINE for this but I'll certainly use your link if I do.thanks again!
thereuare Posted January 15, 2009 Report Posted January 15, 2009 If you go with the Expedia sale note that we have links to Expedia as well :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
RedmondFrank Posted February 8, 2009 Author Report Posted February 8, 2009 Status: There was an item in the Sunday NY Times recently about vacation rentals in Europe. We went directly to Capital View apartments and booked a downtown studio there for 80 GBP.But we'll use your links as often as possible... got New Orleans on the horizon around Memorial Day.Thanks,Frank
