Aaron M Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 I am seeing some very good prices in every category for these dates. My question is, in your opinion will the prices increase or decrease if I wait until I am inside the 60 day window? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
AaronJB Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)There is no guarantee as to whether or not prices will increase/decrease. If occupancy rates are high for these dates due to a convention or business picks up, you may see rates go up. You may also see a listing disappear or change, as well.If you are seeing "very good" prices for these dates and wait, you risk missing out. Additionally, keep in mind that hotels often have a "floor" on their discount rates that they generally do not go below due to profit margins. If you do book a hotel via HOTWIRE, we ask that you use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase. Aaron M Posted January 12, 2009 Author Report Posted January 12, 2009 To be more specific the Wynn is running at 119$ on Hotwire for these dates. I have seen people claiming prices under 100$ so I thought maybe it would be beneficial to wait. It is a tough decision and wanted a little advice. I did use this sites link to quote that price. Thanks for the welcome and thanks for this site. Very informative
AaronJB Posted January 12, 2009 Report Posted January 12, 2009 You cannot go on what other people have won for other dates, as prices differ from day-to-day. Additionally, seven days together may also cause the rate to be slightly higher if there is a busy day or two in there somewhere.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE link.
