I saw a 2* for 49.00 on Hotwire. I bid the airport area knowing it was probably the Extended Stay America. I only need it for one night( arriving at 10pm) so this didnt really bother me, although I'm not a fan of ESA.

I bid 30$ and then 35$( after adding the downtown area). I'm actually surprised I was declined.

Long Beach ExtStay is $94.99 on 3/11, so it's not that the hotel's sold out. ExtStay's website says that Long Beach, and a few other ExtStays around LA, now offer "Signature Suites", whatever those are. I can't find any description or explanation on the website. Maybe they've renovated the hotel and charge a little more now? Will you bid higher than $43? Good luck?
