Hi. I am looking to book a midtown Manhattan hotel (3.5-4*) from 1/16-1/21. I would prefer Times Square, but will accept another nearby if a better situation is available.

Please help this new user.

Thanks!

Welcome to the site :)

Please provide more information - what is your budget, how many in your party, what areas are you willing to accept besides TS?

Hi Aaron,

Well, any 3.5-4* in Mid-town would be acceptable. 1 person. And I suppose I can pay up to $150 but would obviously want to secure at a lower price if possible.

Thanks!

Let me suggest a hotel that doesn't come up on PRICELINE or HOTWIRE; the 4* Affinia 50 is $138.75 on Orbitz.com (which is a 25% off sale.)

Use coupon code 20HOTEL for another 20% off per night beyond that, which should bring you to about $111 per night, which can't be beat for a very well-reviewed property in a great location - it's also about the lowest I've ever seen this property go for.

The cheapest 4* that HOTWIRE is offering is $149, I just think this is a better deal (plus you know what you're getting and, given that you're not booking through Priceline or Hotwire, you may be able to ask to see if the hotel has any upgrades at check-in - while upgrades aren't guaranteed, since it's a slower period and you're not booking via Priceline/Hotwire, you may get lucky.)

If this is of interest, please use the site's Orbitz.com link (click the Orbitz.com) to start your purchase. Let us know if you have any questions.

Aaron,

I just used your suggestion to book this hotel at $111 per night. Fantastic!! Thank you so much for your great, and amazingly quick, assistance.

Glad I could be of assistance, and glad you were able to take advantage of this fantastic rate! :)

I'd nicely ask at checkin if there are any upgrades available, and see what they say (no guarantees, but again - slow period, so it may go well.)

Enjoy your trip.
