However, when i searched HOTWIRE for your dates to see if there was any additionalal information in order to confirm/increase confidence in this identification, the offering above was not shown in my search results.

Are you still seeing the above on your own HOTWIRE search? If so, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the defaults 2adults/0children (although i also tried searching for 2adults/2chldren and it still didn't show)

I just searched for 2 adults and 2 children for July 4 to July 7 and was offered the 4* Waikiki Beach Area - $120.

At this rate I am considering extending stay by a day - the rate offered at same hotel was $115.
