We R PSU Posted January 10, 2009 Author Report Posted January 10, 2009 I very happy with the price and this hotel works very well for me when I am alone. The location is great for my needs and the free breakfast is good.If you plan on sharing a room (with someone you are not interested in sleeping with), I would avoid bidding 2* for fear of the Hampton. The hotel has some very small corner rooms that have one small bed and I have been given those rooms on all my PL wins. On the two occassions a second bed was needed, the front desk told me the reservation was for single occupancy. I was able to get the second bed one time but failed the other time. The hotel seemed to have plenty of availability. I understand this is part of the PL gamble but this is the only hotel where I have experienced a second class treatment for PL reservations.
thereuare Posted January 10, 2009 Report Posted January 10, 2009 On the two occassions a second bed was needed, the front desk told me the reservation was for single occupancy. Not sure of the size of the bed in these rooms, but if you get this response again in the future, i'd inform the front desk clerk that PRICELINE rooms are actually for double occupancy... this doesn't guarantee two beds, but if they already tell you it's a single occupancy room, you may have a good case to argue and get the room changed to what you want (assuming such a room is available) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
We R PSU Posted January 10, 2009 Author Report Posted January 10, 2009 The beds really seem like they are made for one. I'll try the PL double occupancy case if I need two beds or bigger room. Thanks.
