Got a Chevy Blazer from Avis on a PCLN rental in Sept '02. Best internet rates were around $210/week. Using Priceline for car rentals doesn't save you much (like it does for hotels), but at this location we knew that all rental agencies are pretty much equal in terms of the number of minutes from bag claim to the road, so we accepted the small bone that Priceline offered - a $20 or so savings.

Bids of $26 and $28 were rejected.

tweekerz,

Welcome to BetterBidding.

I don't think the above rates will necessarily correlate with yours since they are for completely different time periods.

But while you're waiting for an answer, i would use Orbitz to check rates as they give a very nice grid layout ("Orbitz matrix" they call it) and it makes it easy to compare prices.

Check Hotwire also to get get a feel for prices.

That will at least give you a general idea of prices. You could then go to SavingsBarn (link also above) and navigate to their Car Rental section on the left hand side to get a list of many of the rental car companies with links to each of them (as well as a link to each company's deals/offers page).

Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
