brooklyngirl Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Booked the Marriott for $121 last night for 4 nights (May 21-25) through the PRICELINE link here. I began with a wishful-thinking bid of $55, and went up in $5 increments utilizing extra bidding chances with the known districts that do not have 4* hotels (Civic Center, Marina, Fisherman's Wharf, & South SF). I know I could probably get a much better deal not booking so far in advance, but it's for a conference and I needed to book it ASAP or else my organization will not reimburse me. Come to think of it, guess I shouldn't complain at all if I am getting reimbursed :-P I mainly wanted a hotel in either SOMA or USE, and actually the Marriott is where the conference is taking place so that worked out quite well. The Marriott is charging a "special rate" of $169/night for conference attendees and looks like it is $179/night otherwise. For those of you hoping to stay at this hotel during that week-end it may be full of a bunch of psychologists, just a warning!
