In light of the economy and the reduction in discretionary spending, do you think that the suppliers - rental agencies and hoteliers - will lower their threshold acceptance prices or offer more units at existing prices, or a combination of the two?

Regarding the economy, we have already seen a drop in prices across the board (some markets more so than others) and the current economic situation is already factored into prices. Of course nobody can say if things will get better or worse over the next 3 months between now and your trip, so if you do choose to wait, i would make sure you book a cancellable back-up to protect yourself from prices rising.
