daftboy Posted January 7, 2009 Report Posted January 7, 2009 Hello all - firstly, congrats on such a great forum, I am planning a trip to the Northeast US this May (Boston, Washington DC, New York - all the expensive places! :) ) and without your help for navigating Hotwire it would just not be affordable. I've searched from 5/16 to 5/20 in Boston and come up with:3* Back Bay - Copley Square ($119)Complimentary BreakfastFitnessBusiness CenterLaundryHigh speed internetDoesn't seem to match any of the current hotels in the sticky thread (even under Vacations), anyone got any guesses? In any case, the probable Hilton/Sheraton option (3.5*) is coming up at $109 so I might go for that. Thanks in advance - and don't worry, when I book I will use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links!
thereuare Posted January 8, 2009 Report Posted January 8, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! This property has not yet been identified, but if i were to take a guess the Hotel 140 seems like a pretty good fit and that would be my best guess. Thanks in advance for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your purchase(s).Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. daftboy Posted February 23, 2009 Author Report Posted February 23, 2009 Just to update on this rather old post, I didn't book at the $109 rate in the end. It subsequently went up to more like $230 per night for the same hotel locations and descriptions - however, I've just found on the Sheraton's website an advance purchase rate for the same dates of $119 (before taxes) which I booked today, so I have achieved much the same result. :) So, I have yet to make my first Hotwire purchase :) When I do I will make sure to start on this site!
