Priceline Hotel: 3* DT Toronto for 17 nights... What do you think it might be?

I need a long stay for an upcoming trip in Downtown Toronto.

The hotels in this zone are:

3* Courtyard by Marriott

3* Metropolitan Hotel

3* Radisson Admiral Harbourfront

3* Residence Inn

3* Strathcona

Any of these would be fine except the Strathcona.... I've stayed there before when it was the cheapest thing available (before I knew about HOTWIRE / PRICELINE) and although it was ok, it's not a place I'd want to stay for a period that long, however all the other hotels on 3* I would have no problem with.

I've done some searches and never seen anyone win the Strathcona on PL so I sorta like my odds.... I'm just wondering if anyone else has any insight on this? What do you think the chances of this PL win being the Strathcona? Anyone else end up with it on a long-term stay in Toronto Downtown? The reason I'm kinda worried about it is that it's regular prices are the cheapest compared to the other hotels.

HOTWIRE has a 3.5* which almost for sure is the Delta Chelsea for 47$ which is kind of tempting.

Any insight would be great.

Thanks!

The Strathcona has been downgraded to 2* since it was last reported (here's the listing on Priceline's Travel Guide), so you're safe. The Novotel Toronto Centre is another 3* hotel in the Downtown Toronto zone, but nobody's yet reported getting this hotel. If the 3.5* hotel you're seeing on Hotwire is indeed the Delta Chelsea, then there's a good probability that your 3* bid on Priceline will get upgraded to the Delta.

Are the star ratings in there the same as the Name Your Price star ratings though?

I looked through all the Strathcona reviews on TripAdvisor, and noone ever mentioned they won it on PL, and there were 150+ reviews, so I think I'm safe on the front.

What I did see though is that some people on TripAdvisor reported winning Bond Place as 3* which also isn't the most ideal place for me, but it is also rated 2.5* in the Priceline travel guide..... Dates are Jan 9-26

They should be... i know of once instance which occured during an update, where there was a difference in star rating between the star rating of the 'name your own price' and the 'retail' product... it took a few days but about a week later the retail product was updated and each arm of the PRICELINE service once again showed the same star rating (this was abotu 4 years ago or so, haven't seen this happen since)
