dreinke
Our manager booked at the wrong airport. So we need a room last minute.Saw a couple of 3* wins in the $45 range, so started there. LostAdded 2.5* at $50. Lost.Added 2* at $55. Win. Midway is much tougher to get the super steals versus O'hare. Still, the Best rate I can find on the Marriott site is $109 (without taxes/fees). So that's 50% off of their best rate. Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry to hear of the incorrect booking for the last stay... good thing these wins are deeply discounted :)Hope the problem was realized before you landed so it wasn't a last minute scarmble.Indeed, Midway is a notoriously tough hotel market and is much more difficult to get outstanding deals, but this win at less than half price looks like a good one. Thanks for sharing... hope you're enjoying your stay. GM Mike
Just for future reference, Wisconsin Coach Lines (Coach USA) runs a PRICELINE EXPRESS bus between Midway and O'Hare, departing up until mid-evening, for $16 either direction.I've never taken it but depending on flight times that could be a way of dealing with the lack of hotels near Midway and/or booking the wrong airport zone.Their website: http://www.coachusa.com/wisconsincoach/ Link to comment
