EvilGazebo Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 OK, so tempted to pull the trigger on a 4* Strip for $124 (2/14 to 2/16) on what I'm 99% sure is Treasure Island. Prices up the same for 2 adults and 2 children as it does for 2 adults (unlike the Wynn which goes up by $100+ when you add the kids)But in researching Expedia/Travelocity/TI's own website, they all seem to charge varying "child"/"extra guest" fees of $30-$60+. Seems quite common for strip hotels, especially the MGM Group. Now I know things like resort fees can be charged extra but there's no chance the hotel could try to add this to the bill right? I mean, it's not like the 2 adults only thing on Priceline: I'm specifying 2 children and Hotwire are not increasing the price. I'm just paranoid because this makes it a LOT cheaper than any other way to book...............Any experience around this?
thereuare Posted January 4, 2009 Report Posted January 4, 2009 The price will include everyone that you include in your search, so if you include the children in your search than the rate will include the children and you won't be charged any extra for them. Occaisionally the hotel gets it wrong and my try to charge you for more than double occupancy once at the hotel (this is rare, but is does happen from time to time) at which point a quick phone call to HOTWIRE should resolve the issue.Do you want to list the amenities you're currently being offered for a second opinion that this likely is the Treasure Island that you're seeing?Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. And the TripAdvisor profile (4 out of 5 and 1500+ reviews) fits TII booked and it was TI :) I'll start a new thread with details, cheers.
