tubbsy Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Hi all,I found this forum while trying to search for some help with hotwire. Im from the UK and not used hotwire before. I am trying to book a trip for me and my GF to vegas for March 3rd to March 12th (9 nights). We usually stay in TI but looking at the rates its slightly higher than I would like to pay. Then I found hotwire with some really good rates but havent a clue what im doing and afaird of booking a hotel we do not want to stay in. I fancy staying in the Venetian but from what I can see you could also get Trump or the Wynn on the same category which i want to seriously avoid. Could anyone help me and tell me if this is the Venetian and also any tips for a first timer!5 star hotel centre strip9 nightsAmenities: Casino / Fitness Center / Pool(s) / Restaurant(s) / Business Center / Golf Nearby / Tennis Nearby / Spa servicesRate: $109 plus taxesLooking to book today to get th great rate but really nervous using hotwire and getting the wrong hotel.ThanksTubbsy
AaronJB Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)The listing in question would appear to be a match for the Wynn.Have you considered splitting your stay? Maybe it's just me and my (complete lack) of an attention span, but 9 nights at the same property seems a little long.Out of curiosity, why are you avoiding the Wynn - I don't know anything about Vegas, but it's come up a lot lately on HOTWIRE and those who've gotten it seem pleased.
tubbsy Posted January 2, 2009 Author Report Posted January 2, 2009 Hi Araron,When we were last in Vegas we went to the wynn to look around and have a little gamble and felt really uncomfortable. Cant really say why I didnt like it but I guess i got this vibe. Ive stayed in the bellagio and TI and really enjoyed TI. Just felt right, any pointers on how to get TI maybe? Venetian looks really good. Also on your point about 9 nights.............. i hate packing and unpacking more than once per trip. I had a multi stop trip to Hawaii a few years back and hated the packing and unpacking all the time. :)
AaronJB Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 Ah, that's interesting. I have no idea regarding Vegas, so was just curious. Understandable about repacking.I see a 4* in the Central Strip area with the amenities: casino, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center, Golf, Spa for $103, which would appear to be a potential match for the amenities last reported with the Treasure Island - the Tripadvisor rating on the detail page would also match. Please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links if you do decide to book. Thanks :)
