Hotwire Hotel: Help Indent 4.5* Center Strip & Question

Hi All,

This is my first time considering using Hotwire for a trip and I'm glad to have this great site as a resource. I'm hoping for some help identifying a 4.5* hotel that doesn't seem to match any existing listing. Here are the particulars;

Las Vegas

02/12/09 to 02/15/09

3 rooms 6 adults

4.5-star hotel in Central Strip

$149 per room per night

Casino, Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurants, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Golf, and Tennis

Customer Favorite, Lowest Price Guaranteed, and Best Value

I'm guessing its the Mirage, since lack of Spa, but any advice to help would be much appreciated.

Also, I've read on other boards where only adding a 3rd adult to each room will guarantee a 2 bed room. Is that pretty accurate?

If you re-run your HOTWIRE search and click the CONTINUE button next to this offering (with the price in it) and then click the "See all amenities" link under the icons, do you then see the Spa icon?

Also, is there a reason you're more interested in this 4.5* property than the less expensive 5* offered for your dates?

Searching for triple occupancy 'sort of' guarantees two beds... HOTWIRE guarantees enough bedding to accomodate everyone included in your search, so by searching for 3adults there will be a second 'bed', but the 2nd bed could be a rollaway or a pullout couch. However, not sure if you're considering less than 3 rooms for this stay, but if you need two beds in all of the rooms above, but by adding 3 more people to your search above (making it 3rooms/9adults) it can get a little tricky, as it's possible HOTWIRE could give you 2 rooms for quad occupancy and then the 3rd room with only one bed (this wouldn't be the likely scenario, but it's possible... if you let us know exactly what it is that you're thinking of doing with triple occupancy and/or how many rooms you need with two beds we'll be able to comment further)

Hi thereuare, thanks very much for the response.

Digging deeper into Hotwire process with the "continue" and "show all amenities" did produce the missing Spa. Great tip! Also, I noticed through the "win" boards that someone is reporting a 4.5* for at least one of the days I'm looking for as Caesars, which is what I would be hoping for. I prefer Caesars a little better than the Wynn or Venetian, maybe its a little nostalgia on my part though as Caesars was the first place I ever stayed. Also, after my hesitation last week, both are coming in at $149 now.

The situation with the beds is that we have 6 guys going and each is willing to share a room, but I'm guessing they would prefer their own bed if possible. I imagine though that we are all comfortable enough to share a king if need be. Still, to quote the great John Candy, "Those aren't pillows!"

I don't know if you or anyone else has incite if the Hotels are willing to work with you after you make the reservation through Hotwire?

Using your HOTWIRE link is the least I can do.

Many are, but it's very inconsistent. Sometimes you call to make a request and the clerk tells you that it's a HOTWIRE / PRICELINE reservation and they can't touch it... then you call back a few hours later (after a shift change) and a different clerk will have no porblem changing your room to the type you requested (or at least comment that there are no guarantees but enter your request in the system)
