Pnut362 Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 I am trying to find a hotel in FLL for a one night pre-cruise stay. There are only 6 properties that come up when I do a 4* or better search on Hotwire. I am pretty sure that I have majority of them figured out from looking throughout this site. I had first considered the 4.5* Hollywood Beach - which I think is The Diplomat Country Club and Spa4.5* Hollywood Beachresort, fitness, restaurant, golf nearby, boutique, pool, business center, tennis$157March 19-20, 2009.. my only concern about this is hidden resort fees. The one (hence the topic title) I am trying to figure out is the following:3.5* North FLLfitnesspoolno smokingrestaurantgolf nearbylaundry facilitieshigh speed internet$170I was hoping to find something for The Westin Diplomat but I do not see anything that matches.. there is one that is close but I think it is the Crowne Plaza Sian and it is coming up at $215. Thanks in advance for your help!
AaronJB Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 I'm guessing (and again, this is just a *guess*) that this unidentified property may be an upgraded Sheraton Suites with no-smoking and internet. That hotel is smoke-free and it does have internet, and it also matches the 3 out of 5 tripadvisor rating of that hotel. If you do decide to book on HOTWIRE, it would be greatly appreciated if you could use the site's HOTWIRE link (click the HOTWIRE) to start your purchase, as doing so supports the site.Let us know what you decide (so we can edit the thread title) and if you have any questions.
AaronJB Posted December 28, 2008 Report Posted December 28, 2008 Given the 3/5 tripadvisor rating on this listing, I think you may have better luck with the other options.
Thesawch Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 Given the 3/5 tripadvisor rating on this listing, I think you may have better luck with the other options. The hidden resort fees are 17 dollars per room. Not a bad deal >>i booked it and free shuttle to the western diplomat which is part of the resort.Very good deal...
Pnut362 Posted May 22, 2009 Author Report Posted May 22, 2009 ended up booking the Hyatt Place through their website.
