AaronJB Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 This one would be a likely match for the Millennium Broadway. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link (click the HOTWIRE) to start your purchase, as doing so helps support the site.Let us know how it goes (so we can edit the thread title) and if you have any questions.
steerpike Posted December 21, 2008 Author Report Posted December 21, 2008 Probably going to pass this one then. I can get a similar price with Expedia for that hotel. Looking for a bargain!Ken
AaronJB Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Let me see what I can find. Be right back.
AaronJB Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 4* in the Empire State Building with the amenities: boutique, restaurant, breakfast, business, internet for $179. That would likely be the Morgans, which is $249 retail. You could also use PRICELINE in an attempt to get under HOTWIRE's prices.
steerpike Posted December 21, 2008 Author Report Posted December 21, 2008 Thanks aaron. Will check morgans out. Just learned how to use hotwire today (got a great deal in Vegas) I'm a bit lairy to use pricelineKen
AaronJB Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Understandable regarding PRICELINE, but plenty of people do successfully use it (as you can see with the posts here.) If you do change your mind, we would be happy to help with Priceline suggestions.I can also find the Millennium Broadway for $185 per night (with an upgraded room) and the Affinia 50 (which is one of the top rated hotels in NYC on Tripadvisor) for $176 non-refundable.The new Smyth Thompson Hotel is also $185 on-sale, and the rather unusual Night Hotel is $184 w/breakfast. Hotel Mela is also $181. All three of these are available on Quikbook.com (link: Quikbook.com)Again, let us know if you have any questions.
