San Jose CA Premium rejected

I bid $18 for a 2 day rental premium car from San Jose International Airport. Hotwire has it listed for $39.95. Will try again in 72 hours with a $19 bid.

Anyone have any success at San Jose? Thanks

Thank you for posting that info.

I don't watch PL rental cars a lot ( and don't know if PL has minimum bids like they do with hotels) but I've never seen a Premium go for less than $25 in any market. If your trip is way in the future, increasing in $1 increments is workable but if the trip is very soon, I'd consider increasing in $2 or $3 increments.

Just retried again for $20, no go. Will wait my 3 days and try again! :) I may try $18 for a standard and see what happens

Tried $18 for a standard and $22 for a fullsize all rejected.

forgot to mention that when my $28 bid for a premium was rejected Priceline then gave me a ONE TIME offer based on my car-type and rental dates for $38...hotwire was $37.95 :)

Offered $20 for a mid-size and rejected. I went to Checker and found Thrifty had a mid-size for 19.95. Wassup widdat?

I have been doing quite a bit of searching over the past week for LAX and it is fair to say that PL isn't that competitive for car rentals. IMHO better to try out discount codes instead. Let me know if you need any leads.
