coharahawk Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I decided to try bidding on a 3* property this time rather than doing the 4* that I usually try for. All of the 3* and above hotels by LAX were acceptable for my trip, so I figured I would start low. Tried $45 and won the Courtyard LAX. This hotel has good reviews, and I'm very happy I got it so cheaply. I always hate to win on the first bid, but oh well...I got a good deal. Sounds like it's going to be $16/day for parking..ouch.Used the PRICELINE link on Betterbidding. Thanks to previous posts for the help!
AaronJB Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Thank you for using the PRICELINE link and posting your win, it's greatly appreciated. :)Enjoy your trip!
thereuare Posted December 13, 2008 Report Posted December 13, 2008 Congratulations on your win! There are two Courtyard properties in this zone, based upon the parking charge you mentioned, i assume you won the Courtyard LAX/Century Blvd at 6161 W Century Boulevard? (and not the El Segundo location)Assuming this is the Century Blvd location, hotel direct rates are well over $100/nite, so i wouldn't worry too much about winning on your first bid for $45/nite :)Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. coharahawk Posted December 13, 2008 Author Report Posted December 13, 2008 Yes, indeed it is the LAX/Century Blvd location. Sorry about leaving out that detail.
