bobbyv Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Just got this hotel from 1/02/09 -> 1/06/09 $75 a night ... Not quite 60..but it wasn't letting me do 60.Now the big issue...parking is $40 a night! Is there anywhere else to park around this hotel for even half the price??Thanks,BobbyV
AaronJB Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Welcome to the site :)Moved this post to its own topic. The reason why you may have had to pay a little more than the original poster in the other thread was that you were staying one more day and that day may have been busier/had a higher rate.I don't know the area, but I do see Standard Parking has a few lots in the area, including one down the street at 600 17th St. The Standard Parking lots may be able to come in a bit under the $40 the hotel is charging. In the future (if you didn't this time), it would be greatly appreciated if you could use the site's link to PRICELINE to start your purchase, as it supports the site.Thank you for posting your win, though, and enjoy your trip.I'm looking at these dates on the hotel website and seeing $299 per night. While you did have to pay a bit more than the other poster, still QUITE a deal! :)
thereuare Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing your results with the board. Glad the previous posts and information was helpful to you.Hotel parking usually charge the most since you're a captive audience and there is a convenience factor when parking at the hotel, but if you won't need the car very much during your stay, you can usually find cheaper parking at nearby garages. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. bobbyv Posted December 12, 2008 Author Report Posted December 12, 2008 Yep, it's still a great deal! I think we'll be walking around a lot so finding some other garage should work for us.I used the link here for PRICELINE! -- I've been a lurker for over a year, but this was my first successful bid so I wanted to post it!Thanks,BobbyV
AaronJB Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Thanks for using the PRICELINE link! - wasn't sure if you did since you were a new user.Hopefully from now on you'll move from lurker to full-time poster. :)
