bigfurball Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Need assistance with bidding range for 4* MTE/MTW for 4 nights beginning Sept. 4th. My wife and I are hoping to catch some US Open action--any advice on obtaining tickets would also be appreciated.
thereuare Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Welcome to BetterBidding!Do you have a maximum bid in mind? Is UM/CPS not acceptable? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
bigfurball Posted July 28, 2004 Author Report Posted July 28, 2004 I wanted to start with bid no higher than $140/night, but willing to go to $170-180. Hey, you talked me into it--UM/CPS would work too.
thereuare Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 You have two re-bid zones at the 4* level, if you're unsure of which ones they are feel free to ask. This is what i would recommend:Select 4* MTE and...Bid $120, if rejected add MTW and...Bid $130, if rejected add UM/CPS and...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone and...Bid $160.Ask any questions you may have regarding the above.Good luck and let us know of your progress. bigfurball Posted July 28, 2004 Author Report Posted July 28, 2004 2nd bid was successful--$130/night, MTW (Hilton New York)
thereuare Posted July 28, 2004 Report Posted July 28, 2004 Excellent... congratulations on your winning bid.Enjoy your stay in the city.RE: the US Open... if you go to the earlier rounds you should be able to move down and upgrade your seats by 'tipping' the usher. Eat before you go... food is expensive but the open is a fantastic time and a lot of fun.
