su_cane Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 We are spending 1 night in San Fransisco on our way home from our honeymoon. For those that have been there before, we only have 1 day to wander the city. What part do you suggest we stay in? Fisherman's Wharf? Embarcadaro? Union Square (east/west)? Other parts? I don't want to book a hotel till I have an idea of what part we want to stay in. Any advice is appreciated.Lauren :-)

su_cane Posted December 8, 2008 Author Report Posted December 8, 2008 Yeah, we decided not to risk the waikiki hotel and booked it through america PRICELINE EXPRESS. They had a really good rate with free upgrade and breakfast. I promise to click the link to HOTWIRE from betterbidding and to post anything I book on here so others will know. I have in the past, thought I haven't booked anything in a while. With San francisco, we are a bit more willing to take a risk and book a hotel without knowing for sure hwat it is, we just don't know what part of san fran to stay in.I've heard we should see alcatraz, lombard street, fisherman's wharf (and the chocolate place) and other places, but we only have 1 day with our layover....so we are very limited in what we can actually see and do. That's why I was asking for suggestions about the best area in san fran to actually search for a hotel. Lauren :-)
