Hotwire Hotel: 4* Detroit (Downtown) Westin Book Cadillac

Heading up to the Detroit AutoShow and booked the following:

4* Detroit (Downtown) Westin Book Cadillac for $119 per night. Staying for two nights January 17th and 18th, checking out Monday the 19th. $276.06 was total for both nights and tax. Hotels.com and Expedia's lowest rate was $279 per night. and that was a non-cancelable pre-pay best rate.

Amenities listed were: Fitness center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-Speed Internet, Golf Nearby and Spa.

After booking I went back through the search process again so I could get the amenities and post them here... the rate had jumped to $125, this was at 11pm eastern time on a Tuesday.

Question... At no point did I have an option to select my bed choice, one king or 2 fulls. My reservation does not list it either. Can I contact the hotel directly with my hotwire itinerary number or confirmation code to request a king or do I contact Hotwire or just wait until check-in?

You can call the hotel now (no need to give your HOTWIRE confirmation... just your last name with do) and request the type of bed configuration you want. All that is guaranteed is a room which will accomodate everyone included in your search, and each hotel reacts differently to requests for a specific bedding configuration... if you get any 'attitude' and/or the desk clerk won't make note of your preferences, just reamain nice and try back another day (12 hours later is usually good as you have low chance of receiving the same clerk again since the shift will have changed and current employees woudln't have returned yet :) ) For further info see the related link in our PRICELINE FAQ.
