Hotwire Hotel: Buffalo Grove, IL!!!

I'm back again!

Looking for a hotel/motel/whatever in Buffalo Grove or nearby with shuttle service if decently far away. Location that I will need to go to is around the 700 East Lake Cook Road area (sort of near the Walmart, TGI Friday's vicinity for those of you familiar with the area). I'll be there on business and do not want to bother with expensive cabs if possible.

3 or possibly 4 night stay next week (weekdays, yes).

Very difficult to use Hotwire or Priceline as I do not want to be staying 20+ miles away considering I live only about 30 miles away. I'm being a spoiled snob and not wanting to waste time traveling during rush hour for this week. I just did a search on this site and saw the Indigo for a very reasonable rate. Great, however, it is about 9 miles away. Boooo!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't care too much about stars as long as it is not a complete dump. My plans for my time in the hotel/motel/rat hole are to sleep and shower and to watch basic tv for a whopping hour or so a night before I fall asleep. Again, free shuttles will make me happy.

Thanks to all in advance!

Cheers,

Miss Poofy

Which dates are you looking for? It's difficult to offer many suggestions without knowing exact dates.

What appears to be the Hyatt Deerfield (a 3.5* in the Northbrook area with the amenities: fitness, pool, restaurant, business, laundry, internet and golf) is showing for $59 for all dates next week (at least it is when I search for 10/7-11 and 10/10-14).

That - I think - would be a very good option for your situation. That hotel is at 1750 Lake Cook.

If this is of interest, it would be greatly appreciated if you could start your purchase by using the site's link to HOTWIRE (click the HOTWIRE), as doing so supports the site.

Staying Monday night, the 8th, through Thursday or Friday of the same week (11th or 12th). I will use the link as soon as I'm ready to purchase. Don't you worry your pretty little head!

Thanks for your help! Even cheaper would be better. We'll see...

Miss Poofy

Have you tried going to HOTWIRE and using the ADDRESS radio button to input the address above to see what appears at the top of the list?

No. That would make way too much sense all-mighty-lord-of-better-bidding!

I'll be back...

So looks like we got a choice between the Hyatt and the Indigo. Not much else that's cheaper. I'm deathly afraid of 2 star hotels.

I'll hold out another day just to see if someone else out there has any other suggestions.

Thank you for your help!

Buffalo Grove!, How do I use PRICELINE to find a hotel right in Buffalo Grove.

Thanks!

The issue becomes, if you want a hotel with a shuttle, that's impossible with PRICELINE. With HOTWIRE, at least you can make an educated guess as to which hotel is which, based upon what's showing (such as the Hyatt example.)

It's doubtful that you are going to find a hotel as nice as the Hyatt in that area for much less than $59. There is a 3* on HOTWIRE for these dates with breakfast/kitchenette and a number of other amenities for $55, but not sure as to which hotel this is - it could be the nearby Embassy Suites without the suite icon?
