Steve Sharp Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 I'm attending the NAMM show at the Anaheim Convention Center, staying Wednesday, January 14, 2009 through, Sunday, January 18, 2009.I've been through tons of sites, looking for either:1) A decent price (I'm thinking $100 or less per night) on an "acceptable" room, walking distance to the Anaheim Convention Center, and based on proximity I will be able to forgo the traffic hassles and $12 per day parking there.or2) A really nice room, up to a 15 minute drive away, at bargain price. So far, I've gone to $65 per night for a 3.5 on Priceline, and have been hoping to get Crowne Plaza, Anaheim, but so far, Priceline keeps turning me down.Any suggestions on how to proceed?
thereuare Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Since you can't determine where in the zone you'll end up, how can you ever bid above your 'bargain' price for a hotel within a 15 minute drive to the convention center, since your other option is contingent upon you being within walking distance?I think HOTWIRE would be a better option than PRICELINE for this scenario since you'll be able to take an educated guess as to which you will likely receive, and therefore 'know' how far the hotel is from the convention center. You aren't really clear above what star level consider to be a 'nice' room and what star level is 'acceptable', but i'd start by searching HOTWIRE, see if any hotels are offered within your budget, then we can try to help identify them and you can make a determination based upon <presumed> location, star level, price, and quality. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
