thereuare Posted December 1, 2008 Report Posted December 1, 2008 Congratulations on your win! This new Starwood brand looks interesting and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Hopefully starwood will make their brands a bit more distincitve than other company's have done (just how much difference is there betwen some Holdiay Inn and Crowne Plaza properties, both under the ICHotels brand), and aLoft will be a different experience than the other brands under the Starwood umbrella. Looks like the goal is to be an economical 'W Hotel' while continuing to maintain the 'hip-ness' of the W... if they can pull it off (and i hope they do) seems like it would be a good business plan. The coparison may be a stretch, but could it perhaps be an 'upscale Pod NYC' which at one point was described as "W Hotel meets Hostel"? :)Thank you for using our PRICELINE link and sharing your win with the board, helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List. Please let us know your thoughts up on you return.Enjoy your stay.
