First time bidding on PRICELINE, have used HOTWIRE before. I bid on 4* hotels in MTW, MTE and Times Square, started at 90 $, raised in 5 and 10 dollar intervals with the five re-bidding zones, got accepted at 120 dollars (bid two days before the stay) for Hilton New York. Wouldn't have gone higher than 120 $, because HOTWIRE offers 4* hotel in Soho at same price. Sunday to Monday is difficult for hotels to fill up their rooms, I think.
