kag Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 Hi,I'm looking for a four-star room for two nights, as I'm going to an AC/DC concert at the Rogers Centre on Jan 9th with my buddy. My only worry is that we might get a single bed (ie: 1 king) instead of two beds (size is not important).Should I avoid Priceline because of this reason? Or the chances it happens are very slim?
slick_gd Posted November 29, 2008 Report Posted November 29, 2008 It all depends on how opposed you are to sharing a bed with your friend.PRICELINE guarantees double occupancy which could be 1 or 2 beds (or pull-out couch, etc). You can always contact the hotel after your win and request a two-bedded room, but they are under no obligation to meet your request. With that being said, from what I see on this board most people are successful when they request two beds instead of one. But this can depend on a number of factors, including how full the hotel is that night. There just may not be a two-bedded room available. I'd like to think that most hotels will try to accommodate a reasonable request if they can.If you don't want to take that chance then HOTWIRE may be your better bet.
