voodoodoodoo Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Started with a $60 bid with just downtown Vancouver selected (we want to be able to walk as much as possible). Rejected and agreed to add $17 more and was accepted! I'm pretty happy with the Hyatt at $77. (this is a Mon & Tue night, so that makes it a little easier)thanks for this great resource!
thereuare Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win and thank you for sharing it with the rest of the board. Some people just don't wish to be bothered, but you may have been able to shave a few extra dollars off of your rate. Priceline suggesting you raise your bid by $17 is a COUNTER-OFFER and as discussed in that link they can almost always be under-cut by using using your RE-BID ZONES.Like i said, some people would just rather not be bothered and $77 is still a great rate, but i just wanted to make sure you know all of your options for future bids. If you didn't follow the above feel free to ask.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
