mickeyd Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 I started at 3* and $39 but was rejected. I lowered the stars to 2.5* and the bid to $45. It came through fine. I was happy to get the price because there is a big convention that week/weekend at the Convention Center, and hotel rooms can be scarce -- especially anywhere near the Convention Center.Thank you BetterBidding!
thereuare Posted November 27, 2008 Report Posted November 27, 2008 Congratulations on your win!Glad to see you're happy with the results. You could have bid this better using re-bid zones (Priceline Re-Bidding Explained) as it's usually recommended to Lower Your Bid If You Lower Your Star Rating. mickeyd Posted November 28, 2008 Author Report Posted November 28, 2008 Thank you so much for the Priceline Re-Bidding Explained link. I'm still new at this and learning the ropes. It definitely makes sense, and I'll keep that in mind next time!
