littlering
I was looking for those 4* hotels or resorts except for Caribe Hilton and Condado (since the review of these two were not that good). Also the only 3.5* hotel I would accept was Sheraton Old San Juan because of its excellent location. So I have tracked the price of these hotels for about two weeks. HOTWIRE had the Sheraton for $89 on the night of Dec 30 for a while, it was pretty cheap, but I hesitated and hoped to have better luck on those 4* hotels or resorts. I tried to bid them on PRICELINE up to $140 several times using the strategy you provided, but failed, I guess it was too close to the new year, and every hotel increased the price. Yesterday, the price of Sheraton on HOTWIRE increased to around $130 (I kind of regretted not taking it when it was $89) , and the $149 4* hotel showed up (I checked the Condado hotel website, the price on Dec 30 was $169, not a huge discount from Hotwire). So I decided to try to bid Sheraton on Priceline (I used the PRICELINE link here:). And yes, I got it for $100 for one night (Dec 30 - Dec 31), although it was more than the price on Hotwire a few days ago, but I was happy. So the strategy for Sheraton:through the Pinceline linke here3.5* San Juan, $90, asked for additional $22 to rebid, of cause, I declinded;add zone 1, $95, rejected;add zone 2, $97, rejected; close browser, used link here to re-access PRICELINE;San Juan and zone 3, $100, got it!!!
