Priceline Hotel: Resort Palm Springs (Rancho Mirage-Indian Wells-Palm Desert) La Quinta

Just won 3 weekend nights (12/5 - 12/8) at La Quinta in Indian Wells - Palm Desert area for $72 a night. I originally bid $68 with IW-PD Resort designation, but was rejected although was offered an immediate rebid opportunity if I increased my bid by $17.

Instead, I decided to alter my regions and included resorts in Palm Springs (from prior research I think resorts were not included in Palm Springs region) and increased my bid only $4 to $72. It was accepted at La Quinta, which is where I wanted to stay all along. I'm new at this and would appreciate any feedback on my strategy.

I used the PRICELINE links in BB and the various postings helped.

Looks like you did good! Only comment i will add is that you want to make sure any zones you add don't contain the star rating or higher that you are bidding. Not sure how you determined that there are no Resorts in the Palm Springs zone (you're correct, as there currently aren't), but you want to use the techniques in Priceline Re-Bidding Explained to determine your re-bid zones.
