dwanders Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 I'm looking at Waikiki Beach Area for 12-7-08 to 12-10-08. I'm interested in the 4* for $145/night.I'm pretty sure it's the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and I think it matched your hotel lists yesterday. But today it's missing the Beachfront icon. Even under the "see all amenities link" it only shows:ResortFitness CenterPool(s)Restaurant(s)Business CenterHigh-speed InternetGolf NearbySpa ServicesChildren's Activity ProgramHave you seen this before? If not, what hotel could this be? I noticed su_cane had the same question on 11/10/08.Thanks for all your help....as always!!!
dwanders Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 Never mind!I booked the hotel for one night. It's not the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and it's not on technically on the beach - there's a street in front. But I'm happy.A new hotel needs to be added to the list for Oahu (Waikiki Beach): The Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. I posted a message with the details of the win. It appears other people have seen this listing but have not posted win details.Cheers.-david anderson

thereuare Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 Congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your results with the board and helping us add this property to the Hotwire Hotel List. Are you happy 'enough' with these results to try for the other two nites or are you looking for something different for the balance of this trip?If i remember correctly, the Hyatt is a pretty big 'complex' of a hotel with lots of lobby stores, multiple restaurants, etc, etc... very upscale. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dwanders Posted November 27, 2008 Author Report Posted November 27, 2008 Thanks for your work on BetterBidding! It's invaluable to me when using HotWire and has been very accurate. This was the first time I got a hotel that wasn't listed on the site.I will probably book the other nights there as well. It looks like a great property. I'm staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village later in the week and hoped to get that property on HOTWIRE just to make it easy. That's why the missing beachfront icon had me freaked out. I didn't want a hotel in the middle of the city. I'm surprised the Hyatt doesn't show the Beach Nearby icon. It's really beachfront property except for the street that cuts in front of it.
