Personal opinon: I stayed at this hotel and felt it was more like a 2* hotel. The establishment is old and can use a renovation, but the pro is that it is only a block away from the main street of Waikiki (Kalakaua Avenue). I also stayed at the sister hotel on this trip- The Aqua Palms and Spa (3* Waikiki North). This establishment is a lot nicer and newer, but would be a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of Waikiki. Also $20/day parking.

While it doesn't sound as if this was your best stay, it doesn't sound like your worst either, and hopefully you feel you received a good value for the price you paid.
