DonnaT Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 This is my first post. I read the directions. Hopefully I'm doing it right!I noticed Hotwire has a 2 1/2* hotel listed for $36.00 with only pool listed under anemities. This is for September 17 - 23, 2004. On your Orlando hotel list, I didn't see anything that matched this. I wondered if someone would have an idea what this hotel is. Thanks!Donna
thereuare Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Welcome to BetterBidding! Not sure if we'll be able to be much help with the limited amenity icon (which fits just about every hotel in Florida), but what is the actual zone that you are selecting? Lake Buena Vista isn't a choice to put a checkmark next to from the Hotwire selections. DonnaT Posted July 27, 2004 Author Report Posted July 27, 2004 I'm sorry. I didn't post correctly after all! The area I selected was the Walt Disney World area. Thanks!
thereuare Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 I don't ever recall seeing so many hotels offered in an area with just one or two amenties. As i said above, i'm doubtful anyone will be able to figure out the 2.5* you're seeing as a pool can apply to so many hotels in the area. However, the 3* with Resort i would guess may be the Best Western Lake Buena Vista and is only about $10 more (not a lot of money on a nitely basis although a large percentage increase). The REVIEWS seem pretty good... if you decide to try it and would be disappointed if it wasn't the BW you could book just the first nite and then if satisified book the remaining nites. If the BW is more than you want to pay (or you don't want to stay there for some reason) you could also try Priceline which will likely be a bit cheaper, but then you'll also have less control over the specific property.Let us know what you decide to do or if you want to try Priceline and would like a strategy to follow. DonnaT Posted May 21, 2005 Author Report Posted May 21, 2005 We didn't use Hotwire after all. We split our time between Country Inn & Suites LBV and Pop Century. We got good rates directly from each.
