$59 - 4* Downtown

Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, Internet

$49 - 3* French Quarter

Pool, Restaurant, Laundry, Internet

Can't decide which one is better so I was trying to ID them before booking.

Many thanks in advance for the help!

Done - followed up already. Didn't do so earlier because I didn't think it was very informative given that our plans changed at the last minute. This one though, will not change. Many thanks.

Certainly having a 'conclusion' is mor helpful than readers wondering what ultimately happened... plans cancelled, hotel purchases but not reported, purchased but not reported, etc, etc. :)

The 4* above is a match for the InterContinental so that would be our best guess for that one.

The 3* matches the Holiday Inn French Quarter and the Holiday Inn Chateau Lemoyne so either of these would be our best guess for this one.

HOWEVER, i'll note that the vacation packages are showing an additional amenity for each of the hotels above vs. what is being shown for each of these offerings. There are some properties which show different amenties in the vacation product and the hotel product, but this is more the exception than the rule, so there is a shadow of doubt in each of these guesses, although they'd still be my best guess for each.

Okay well, I must be the dumbest person. I tried PRICELINE from the link in the above post just to check it out. And I put a bid in and won on my first try. I got the Wyndham Riverfront for $50. The location is not the best but I guess I'm stuck with it now. Should have either bid lower or just stuck with HOTWIRE.

Thanks for your help! I'm booking more hotels in other cities....so I'll post in the other threads. Hopefully I won't be silly on Priceline again!

Sorry to hear you're not happy with the results... the price seems good, but perhaps you're not happy with the location.

Essentially you need to decide if you want to try for the lowest possible price and are willing to accept a hotel anywhere in the shaded region of the zone... or use HOTWIRE, paying a little more and take an educated guess as to which hotel you're likely to received.

Feel free to ask for help before moving forward on your next trips.

Thanks for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.

Enjoy your stay and have fun in the Big Easy.
