admiralburns Posted November 19, 2008 Report Posted November 19, 2008 I booked a 3* in Empire State Building Area for $119, turned out to be Murray Hill Suites. I'm not thrilled. Has anyone here been there? I wanted 6 Columbus for $119 on Priceline or from the hotel site but a moment later when I went to book it shot to $135 or so. Should have done it anyway.

admiralburns Posted November 25, 2008 Author Report Posted November 25, 2008 It was the Murray Hill East Suites. The amenities are fitness, laundry and kitchenette. Dates of stay were Fri, Nov 21 to Sat, Nov 22. Actually, it wasn't half bad. The location was good (around 39th and 3rd) and the room was spacious and featured a nice kitchenette, a small dining table, sofa, chairs etc. It reminded us of what a night in grandma's NYC condo might be like, because although it was very late 60's / early 70's decor, it was nice and spacious. Lobby was pretty nice, hallways not so nice. This place has not been redecorated for a long time. However, we were happy so long as no bizarre credit card charges show up.
